Quest Manhattan MK-III neck through!
Finally found one... the nicest quest they ever made, the Manhattan MK-III. Always wanted one, only found one real photo of a MK-III online, from a gentleman in Sweden whom I'd reached to. The nice bolt on's are rare, but the neck through's eluded everyone, making us think that maybe only a handful were ever made.
But here it is... super cool guitar. This was Quest's flagship, built on the same par as the Westone Prestige 250. They really went all out with this MK-III. Sycamore top, neck through, Gotoh humbuckers, one toggle for each pickup which are each a 3-way switch for coil split/full bucker/out of phase, brass nut, huge brass knobs, metal control cavity covers, great attention to detail, just a fine guitar all around. Obviously inspired by Rickenbacker.
Since you won't see these very often, here you go. You guys can appreciate it.

Man , I agree with Adey. That is a real sweet awesome looking guitar. I can just imagine the sounds that baby can make. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I would like to have one.

Just....WOW!!
What a bottler!! Nice work, Chad!
Those mini switches... could they be series, parallel, coil split?? Enquiring minds wish to know...
You know, I think I'd recognise that heelless neck join anywhere!!

Thanks Everyone, love this old thing!
John, one toggle for each pickup which are each a 3-way switch for coil split/full bucker/out of phase. It's a pretty cool idea, useful, too. Makes some cool combinations!

OK... it's just that my Vantage X-99 - also neck-thru - has 2 on/on/on humbucker switches and they do the split/coils in series and coils in parallel. Given that Vantage and Quest were somewhat tied up together, I wondered if they'd done that to your Manhattan!!

John, it may be?! It sounds to me like out of phase, it's a quackier sound to my ears. ?

Re: Quest Manhattan MK-III neck through!
maybe the 3-way switch is north/humbucker/south.
i have a guitar set up that way and there is a definite difference in the sound of the two single coil positions. on the bridge pickup, the coil farther from the bridge gives a more quacky sound than the coil closer to the bridge.
you can do a tap test to find which coil is connected in each switch position. use something metal and lightly touch the pole pieces to find which is active.
how about a pic of the switches? i could probably figure it out from looking at the connections.

Right on, you must be right. Sound so thin and quaky though, very out of phase sounding. Well, good to know at any rate!

Re: Quest Manhattan MK-III neck through!
The middle position is full, "as we are used to it" humbucker (both coils in series), so I'm guessing that "up" is single coil and "down" is both coils in parallel?

Re: Quest Manhattan MK-III neck through!
you can check it with a meter if you have one on hand
be sure volume and tone pots are full up, plug in a cable and you can measure it at the tip at the other end.
3-way switch to select neck or bridge separately
each mini-switch setting will have a different reading
