Matsu Quest
got a 1986 Korean Quest HSS strat with presumably stock 1985 Japan body with Q logo pickups.
No model on Non orig neck... but E6 plate
3 x triple toggles give off + 2 tones per pickup even with other 2 turned off... ie not phase or series.
How do you get that out of single coils ? and is it giving a humbucker mode ? Thank you all

Re: Matsu Quest
there were some Matsumoku Vantage guitars that had 'stacked' humbuckers that were the size of single coil pickups. the switches were for choosing: single coil/off/double coil
here's a look at the Vantage guitar i found with the stacked pickups, giving this guitar essentially 3 humbuckers. sadly the one of the stacked pups was defective and i was not able to repair it, so they both got replaced with single coil pups from an old Harmony guitar. also replaced the switches with simple on/off type.

this guitar also had a neckplate with an E6 serial number

Quest Toggles
Thank you... your pics show that's it to a tee...
I'm aware of single coil sized hot rails...
but does that make the Quest anything like the top/ bottom mini buckers style ? I've seen Seymour Duncan ones and they look like a normal sized 6 pole single... gonna try pics in a minute...

Re: Matsu Quest
I have a Quest Atak 6 that I bought last year. I got it to replace the one I sold back in HS around 1987. I found it on Ebay completely torn apart, had to redo the entire guitar. It still plays like a dream.
