Interesting Quest Atak 2B
I am going to buy this bass tomorrow. Looks like a fantastic deal ($100!)... I have never seen an Atak bass with that finish or pick up. Comes with the original case as you can see in the picture. Both the bass and case look to be very minty. The only thing issue I can see is that one of the tuning pegs has come loose or has been knocked out of place but that is hardly a concern. I think this will be a very fun bass for stoner rock or 70's hard rock styles - I'm not really sure why, it just seems to carry that vibe. I'll peel the stickers off, clean it up, set it up and I think we're ready to rock! Just thought I'd share. Cheers & Peace!

Re: Interesting Quest Atak 2B
I got it. Here it is cleaned up and lookin' good. Just need to mess around with it a bit to get a nice set up. This bass has a very vintage sound about it, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The neck is not in the best of shape, it has some dips and bumps in a few areas which allow for some fret buzz. Seeing as I got this bass for $100, it doesn't really bother me. The seller included the original case and a $30 patch cable.

Re: Interesting Quest Atak 2B
Thanks Chad. More a testament to sunshine glare than brilliant finishing, but there's no denying how fantastic it sounds!

Re: Interesting Quest Atak 2B
Anyway, back to the Quest at hand.
Quest made some great "cheap" guitars. I'd recommend them to anybody, built well with solid construction. And you can get them for next to nothing. There's a Quest Atak 6 string, a black one, on EvilBay right now for cheap.
