Quest Atak 1 from Craigslist

Always wondered about these, with the Tele pickup combination and maple neck. They look like a Dean Bel Aire. Already have an Atak 2, but this Atak 1 was too good to pass up. I'll probably mod it.

Here's how she arrived. Dirty as sin and neglected for what looks to be MANY years. Real good condition though.

Have her on the table to begin clean up and disassembly.



Cat wouldn't move. They're nosey little gits.

Came with case which looks in pretty good condition too.



And before anyone thinks it, no, we don't eat on that table. I know someone will wonder!

I'll get her all cleaned up and ready to rock.

Been considering a P.A.F. humbucker and a high gain friendly something or other for the single. That way I can have great cleans on the neck and roaring bite on the bridge. Thoughts?

either that is a small guitar or a giant cat.

Heard that before. We have 3 big cats. Normal sized guitar!

Maine Coons?

One of them is, right on Barry. He's the old grumpy silver/tan with black kitty. The two gingers are also huge, but we don't know what they are.

That Atak 1 is a little bright, I reassembled it and played it last night. Still undecided as to what pickups to drop in.
