got an old Westone guitar for cheap and will restore it. Does anybody know this model?

nothing special, hopefully fairly low cost to you.

those guitars were not made by Matsumoku, nor made for SLM either in Japan or Korea.

they were part of a failed attempt to revive the Westone name, by people not previously involved with the Westone brand. they made copies of other company's guitars, not any original designs. most likely manufactured in China.

You know a brand is great when they are being copied! Long un-live Uncle Mats! 
Nothing will replace Westone!
