Westbury in 1979 in the USA? Empty Westbury in 1979 in the USA?

I’ve just had someone tell me that the original run of Westbury Guitars were made in westbury New York! I said that can’t be but he’s adamant. So what’s the story as he isn’t the only one who thinks this?
