Is this a Westone
Hi, does any have an opinion on whether or not this is a Westone Prestige 250?

Re: Is this a Westone
I'd say so. Looks like someone has done a re-finishing job on it. I've never seen one that doesn't have "Westone" on it.

Yes, I haven't tried it out yet but hopefully it sounds good. It just looked so good in green that I guess I missed the tell-tale Westone signs, like the brand name "Westone" on the headstock But yes, it looks pretty legit to me too...

Re: Is this a Westone
Definitely a Westone Prestige 250, at least originally. It has been refinished and the previous owner has scrubbed the Westone logo.
I can just make out the serial number and it appears to be a 1983 build. The tuners are the originals and still have the original Westone brand stamped on them.
As Westbone mentioned the original pickups have been swapped out. Pity. It's also possible that it has been rewired which would also be a pity. Knobs are not originals.
When you get it CLICK HERE for more information.
And CLICK HERE to check your wiring.

That a guitar was lovingly refinished like this, speaks to the quality of the instrument and value it had to someone. These are stellar instruments.
I hope you love it. I would imagine that the upgrades are in keeping with the nature of the instrument and not some weird hi gain set up.

The headstock logo is Jaydee Custom Guitars. They're based in Birmingham UK; if they did the re-finishing/mods they'll be of the highest quality, they're guitars are superb. I know, I've got one!
That is a gorgeous Prestige. I'm jealous

Re: Is this a Westone
The refinishing looks to be well done. The electronics? Remains to be heard I guess.
What really bothers me is the removal of the Westone logo. I consider that dishonest. A sticker on the back of the head stock or a plate would have been a classier thing to do.
Many members here have re-finished and modded their Westies too, but none have been so arrogant as to remove the Westone marking. Credit where it's due eh?
