Moving house...

We're on tbe move again, troops, so I shan't be around much over the next week or two.... so, behave!!

Not too far away - a place called Takura about 15km away from where we are now, in the great Aussie bush.... complete with resident large Coastal Carpet Python, so I'm told!

That's the trouble with Oz...too many things that want to kill you!

We love the fauna here, especially the snakes! Probably because NZ doesn't have any at all, and besides, the pythons are quite docile and not especially dangerous.. unlike the Eastern Brown or the Coastal Taipan.... both have extravagantly toxic venom and deliver it in huge quantities; the brown snake is very commonly found throughout suburbia and can be a bit of a handful if provoked so the answer is... don't provoke them!!
