Just in case anyone might be interested it's fitted with cheapo Epiphone pickups and non original knobs.
You'd think the seller would state that...

The pictures are not very helpful either. No picture of the headstock. At least it has the original case, although it looks like it's got rust stains from strings that haven't been wiped dry.

Blimey you guys have x-ray specs when looking at blurry pics on ebay.
That Bigsby modified one looks lovely but makes me wonder if the hollow body can support it in that area if used in earnest.

Re: Rainbow I E bay UK
I always thought there was a solid section down the middle on those?

Yes, there is a solid block. It's a pity that horrible Bigsby is there (only my opinion, of course!); otherwise it's a really beautiful guitar. I notice the horns are much more rounded than on my Rainbow 1.

The only problem with that trem is when you break a string on the night, takes 4 pairs of hands to string it up again.

I notice that the first Rainbow didn't sell, so he's relisted it - at the same price?!

I always think it dodgy when they don't show a good pic of the headstock. A good sign of how it's been treated.

Re: Rainbow I E bay UK
I don't like the bigsby on this guitar either Nothing against it as such, it's a wonderfully designed vibrato. But the Rainbow just ain't designed aesthetically for it.

A B6 style would be a better idea. Plus no screw holes on the top.
Here's a factory Aria, works well but looks crap.

Anyway getting back to this Rainbow 1
'Mint' my arse! The frets have pretty deep grooves in them and the fingerboard also looks a little worn from fingernails.
Then asked him for more photos and got a message back "time waster" Fook me! if I was selling a guitar I'd 'waste' a little time taking decent pics. and be a good deal more truthful about the condition. Dick for brains!
