late model Concord Hardshell Case, N.O.S. !!!
here is a rare chance to get an original hardshell case for your Concord cliky
the original catalog price is about $70, in 1983.
last week i got a black one for the early Concord style… just perfect! and truly unused, i don't think a guitar had ever been placed in it, ever!
the sellers don't take paypal, so i called on the phone to pay with credit card. i got talking with the owner and found out he has more in his warehouse. many years ago he bought out another store, and the westone cases were among the things he got in the deal. unknown brand, odd shaped cases that nothing else fits into, they have been sitting untouched for 20 years.
i got the black one from the auction and a brown one too. he cut me a good deal.
i talked with him again today, and he has discovered others….
he still has;
some black ones for early Concord or Paduak
some brown ones for later Concord model, (with rounder body like the Thunder. i found the brown case i got is too shallow to accommodate the tilted headstock of a Thunder)
and a few bass cases too, for a Thunder 1, and for a Thunder 2.
the store is located in Woonsocket, RI
if anybody wants the phone #, send me a PM

Re: late model Concord Hardshell Case, N.O.S. !!!
take a look…
interior of each one is just about perfect
just like on the price list, HC-100
two of them had tags that include a specific guitar serial number and price
this was in one of the cases
most of the time i would find it hard to just cash out for some cases, but i am preparing my home for a major renovation and all my guitars are going into storage for the next year. so these hard shell cases came along at the right time for me to just suck it up and do it.
plus, i don't know how many times i must have said to myself, i wish i had a case for every one of these…..
well now i do
amazing luck

A good bargain really... If ever you sell, you'll get the money back.
Always nice to get a case (original or not) with a guitar. Originals always fetch a premium too.

I'd love to get one for my Concord II but same thing as Damian is stopping me.
Once an item crosses the Canadian border the shipping cost usually escalates beyond all understanding.
Then add in Duty and GST and Bob's yer Uncle, Fanny's yer Aunt...yer broke!
