Pickup switch for Spectrum ST?
Hi all! Got my first Westone today, unfortunately it arrived damaged by the courier , there's a nasty crack and the pickup switch tip has broke off. The crack I will fix, but I was wondering if anyone here would be able to source (or sell) me a new switch? See the picture, luckily for now the switch still works.

Re: Pickup switch for Spectrum ST?
As the break is in the switch, could you use a modern replacement and re-use the plastic and the knurled nut?
That's a nasty knock, I repaired an Epiphone Les Paul with a similar crack, it was not fun, pushed straight, glued, clamped and then drop fill to hide the finish cracks .

Re: Pickup switch for Spectrum ST?
Ow-w-w-ch!! What a bloody shame.
I had a similar problem with my white Spectrum S, although nowhere near the damage. It too had been dropped by the previous owner on the tone knob and toggle. The knob responded to some gentle persuasion and the small body dent under was is not noticeable, but I replaced the switch with a standard toggle, no problem.
However as godjira has pointed out, be sure and save the tip and the collar. Those are proprietary and near impossible to find, unless our forum member Westbone still has a supply.
You can read about what I did on the website: HERE

Re: Pickup switch for Spectrum ST?
Hi all, thanks for your helpful replies! I decided to order a more modern switch and kept the tip, however I have got lucky and managed to find an original switch for sale, along with the full coil tap wiring loom. Still gutted about the crack but I'll be attempting to tackle it this week and hopefully get to refinish it too. I’ll post the end result which will hopefully be a nice restored spectrum st!

Re: Pickup switch for Spectrum ST?
Glad you have it sorted, but please keep the tip and collar from the original switch!
You can hold on to them for spares or perhaps help out another Westone owner in a similar predicament.
Good luck with the restoration and we'll look forward to your post on that one!
Lotsa pictures please!
