tremolo - Tremolo Springs to Match Strings? Empty Tremolo Springs to Match Strings?

I have a Parker guitar.

No, not one of those fancy schmancy Fly thingys, but an import Hornet model with a more traditional Les Paul layout.
A beauty nonetheless.
And no tremolo.

I say this because I also check in at the new Parker based forum from time to time and have a look at some the really outstanding models there.
I came across a post discussing the absolute need to match the tremolo springs to the string gauge!
LINK

That was the weirdest thing I've heard in awhile! Suspect

They claim that the Parker is so frickin' precise that it won't calibrate correctly unless you use a #9 spring with 9-gauge strings. If you change to 10 gauge yo have to change the springs too!?

Of course the springs are proprietary and damn near impossible to find now (Parker went out of business).
I always felt that Parkers were beautifully designed but that their engineering could be a tad too precious at times. This appears to be the case here.

Seems to me it's a simple tension balancing act regardless of strings used.
Has anyone any experience along these lines?

Sounds like poop to me, Barry.... unless the spring claw on a Parker is non-adjustable?!
And if that is the case, then you make the spring claw adjustable, don't you?! :-D

The Parker trem system is like something out of an alien spacecraft.

Honestly, have a look at this procedure:
Fly Trem Guide

Lord help you if you bust a string on stage!
You'd think the fundamentals would still apply wouldn't you?
