Sound Files ?! Where and When ?
Good evening all,
as far as I remember a while ago someone mentioned, it would be nice to hear some sounds from our guitars.
Then this topic got lost. I'd like to renew it.
Do we have possibility to store somewhere some sound files from our guitars?
Pre Conditions would be MP3,two or three files for each guitar, one file clean, the other ones with our favourite pedals, each file only 30-60 seconds.
Some well know tunes or some one creations.
The same would be valid for all basses, sorry... that I missed you 1st.

Re: Sound Files ?! Where and When ?
Hi Hendrik,
That's a nice idea but unfortunately, I'm not that well versed in the technical side of things here so I wouldn't be able to tell you how or where or anything! However, there is nothing to stop anyone posting a link to say a Youtube clip or something similar. I know that has been done before in various discussions.
Why don't you start the ball rolling and upload some links to your playing?

I don't think I have a nice enough microphone to show off my 7-member Uncle Mat collection. They would probably all end up sounding the same. My digital camera has a better mic than my computer, so that might be a possibility...

Re: Sound Files ?! Where and When ?
Thanks, I thought the sound quality was horrible. Its quite hard to tell the different the pickup switching makes on the video. My fave setting is in the middle - both pick ups selected and coil tapped. mmm! I very rarely use the bridge pick up - it sounds horrible clean

Re: Sound Files ?! Where and When ?
Cheers man,
well done. Ta.
Yep, the sound could be better .
I will try to record straight into the PC over Preamp.
Following the the thread over our favourite pedals, maybe we can have some tips, tricks and hints and even some recommendation how to do it.
But again, well done, you put the level high, difficult to score. 1:0 England

Re: Sound Files ?! Where and When ?
Kebabage - that performance is really excellent! Nice playing. Cool guitar.
Hmmm.... you are giving me motivation to subject you all to my brand of string torture..
My x70 and the Spectrum have the best clean sounds of my lot. Especially when the coils are cut or I use the neck p-ups. Nice and FAT

Re: Sound Files ?! Where and When ?
Due to the nice comments, I'd be glad to make more - of the other guitars, infact.. I feel an urge right now!
Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDpFNmrc3ow&feature=channel_page
I did a similar sort of demo, but more clean because my cam doesnt pick up distortion too well! I havent exactly figured out the switches and it goes out of tune a bit but enjoy

If the switches are like my CL4112, then you'll have an on/off for the single coil and an single coil/off/double coil for the "humbucker". As for the out of tune, is the locking nut OK? My Clippers are very reliable tuning-wise as long as the Bendmaster gear is all working properly!

I took the them off for recording in different tunings, but havent got round to re-fitting them because its away in its case alot of the time, but usually it holds its tuning well!
