So, was it worth the wait?

My opinion is this is one ugly mofo and at the price of £1850 ish I'd want more than a tarts strat with a Wilkinson bridge.

Certainly not the nicest looking guitar I've seen. Given the legacy of Westbury, you'd think they'd at least echo the vintage design. Big mistake methinks.

Loosely based on the Series 200 maybe? not the most obvious choice, possibly not the wisest either.

Re: So, was it worth the wait?
Hmmm. Not for me I think....
I got my Westbury Deluxe (as shown in my avator) out of its case for the first time in maybe a year recently, and WOW! What a fantastic instrument it is . The neck is absolutely fantastic, especially towards the dusty end. Thin, but not so much so that it is too "Ibanez" (if that makes sense).
The Dimarzios sound gorgeous. It weighs a ton, but I quite like a heavy guitar...
And I think it has a huge amount of mojo - slightly worn edges, a few dings, pups that look like a previous owner played with a coin - I makes me feel like a real rock star.
Me on the right with the Westbury...

Just another slight twist on a Fat Strat. Ugh. It'll be a long road for them, it looks...
