Hello,

Would someone here shed some light on what the default set of electric guitar strings were back in the 80s for the westone guitars? such as the string gauge (.09 ? .10?), brand (did they use a specific brand of strings? had their own brand?) ?

oops, after doing a little search, westoneguitars.net did have that info on their website which states for two models the string specs are as follows? :

Strings

Westone guitars use American Flyer strings from the USA.  Their gauge in unusual: .009.5″, .011.5″, .016″, .024″, .034″, .044″.  These provide a particular feel, but owners can fit standard gauge strings if they prefer.

Edit: correction, the information above in regards to "Strings" may not be the strings used for factory specs during the time of Matsumoku factory production of westones in the 1980s? Thanks Westbone (forum member) for the catch and correction ^ ^;;
