If anyone here is going to the Rhythms of the World festival this weekend in Hitchin North Herts, we will be performing Sunday 3rd at 2.30pm on the main stage playing some original Reggae/Soul vibes. Do come and say Hi afterwards if you are there, the Westone Cutlass sisters will be on stage too

Re: Rhythms of the World Festival this weekend
Thanks guys, I think we are good to go, this will be our biggest show so far this year and that hour is going to fly by in a flash, must remember to enjoy the moment, feel the crowd and ride that energy.
Love the Dread Lion link Punkyjam, our new percussionist Spike worked with Scratch on a couple of albums about ten or so years ago, quite a character by all accounts (used to bury the master tapes in the garden so he couldn't be ripped off) amongst other earthly antiques.

Re: Rhythms of the World Festival this weekend
Well that was fun, still buzzing from the whole experience of the day. Got to meet Arthur Brown (now 72 and still delivering "Fire" with the energy of a young man in his prime). Courtney Pine kept himself to himself backstage, but delivered the goods when it was time and took the crowd on a Soca jazz reggae fusion trip, too many notes for me but his band were all top drawer.
A few shots from the day

Geez, Arthur Brown...still going! Used to be one of my favorite records back in the day...
Good action shots from the concert. Nice Westones those. Have a few.

Cheers Damian, Yes Arthur is still doing his "thang", and he has put together a great tight little four piece to back him, not forgetting his dancing muse "Angel Flame". His female guitarist Nina (very accomplished) was using a Fender Custom Tele FMT HH with tap-able Duncans through minimal fx's going straight into a Twin reverb, sounded great, lovely set neck (modern C) and so easy to play.
He is still big in Germany and now Russia have discovered him so he is off there in September for some shows. Slightly eccentric Yes, but a true gentle man, absolutely

Re: Rhythms of the World Festival this weekend
Thank you Catalyst, I always look out for them too when at multi band festivals but there tends to be alot of the usual ***ders and the like which tends to get a wee bit tedious....we live in hope hey!!!
