Super headless bass - Controls

I have come by a beautiful Westie walnut fretless headless super bass, but have little idea about the controls; three knobs and three toggle switches. Can anyone explain what each do please? I'm trying to set them to create that lovely slap bass sound but don't seem able to presently. email me on **** if you like.

New batteries?

Hi Swine.
The rotary controls from the neck down are volume, tone and active tone,
the two mini switches from neck down are dual tone and active on off, the oddly place 3 way is the pick up selector.
As westbone says try new batteries, but for that classic slap sound you need roundwounds, and some frets wouldn't go amiss either!
