Guitar & bass cases... Empty Guitar & bass cases...

Seeing as genuine Westone cases are pretty hard to find (& invariably expensive when they do turn up for sale), does anyone have any recommendations for suitable cases for Thunder guitars & basses?

I guess finding a shaped one to fit is going to be extremely unlikely, but is there any consensus on other suitable cases? My main concern is that a Strat or Tele-style case may not be deep enough for the raked headstock, but a Gibson-style case may be too deep to support the thinner body... I fortunately have got an original case for my prestige
but
I also have a 'teardrop' style hard case which fits my prestige, Ibanez artist and Gibson sg nicely, so its the case that I leave accessible for forays out
kind of like this

That's a nice looking case - very similar to the one that came with my old Pantera, but without the body-specific shaped cut-out - is it the one made by Yorkville?

I think the one in the pic is a Yorkville
I just googled and found one that looked like my ancient and unbranded one that my SG came in

Very similar in design to the OSHC's that came with my wife's x390 and my Spectrum FX except for the oversized length on that one. But as it is probably meant to be a catch-all for many different body styles I can understand the additional headroom.

i will grab just about any reasonably priced westone branded case when i see one available.
about a year ago, i got one of the teardrop cases online and it turned out to be an oddball from every other one i have. the box itself is slightly smaller.

that style case seemed to be made for the pointies, and i thought i was getting a case for a pantera, but it didn't fit. the case on top is the oddball, the bottom case is for the pantera

and the pantera in the correct case...

on the other hand though, it was a perfect fit for my Thunder I.

This 350 came in a Westone case, obviously not a perfect fit.
The guy I bought it off said this is what the shop supplied.
No reason to doubt him as he has had the guitar from new.

Yikes!! Shocked Talk about the contents form fitting to the packaging... Laughing "Whiskers" residing in a Dynasty case. Smile

We've got one of about all the possible teardrop-shaped OHSC's here, branded and unbranded, and even that last one Westbone's "Whiskers" is lounging in... well, HAD one here briefly before sending it out on a swap.

The last one with the offset centre bulges came with both of my Concords, fits Panteras x250 & x275 but not any of the x3xx's, x185 Phoenix yay but x199 Spectrum nay, and is a surprisingly neat and tidy fit for an Electra 2238 which is a Tele copy.

I use aftermarket cases bought second hand for mine that didn't come with cases; CNB et al are all good...

I've developed a liking for the foam-type ones; they seem very good indeed; I tried one by putting some of Lucy's crockery in it and dropping it off the back of a truck; no worries!!

That said, I had to build one for the Urchin with the shift coming up!!
