A Photo(Vox Standard 24) for no other reason than I have it

The reason I am posting is that, I know you like photos, it was already on my PC, took minimal effort, and usually I can't be bothered.

The left one has since been fully restored (in the picture it shows blemishes as received). The middle one still needs a clean, but is unmarked. The right one was really rough when I got it and narrowly escaped a refinish in oil.



If you see any of these for sale, snap them up before I do.

My bet mate who started playing guitar about the same time as me had one of these (same as the one on the left) and I had my thunder...we never knew they were built in the same factory. I must confess I much preferred bridge and the headstock shape on the Vox

I concur Hoax, these were probably based on the Westbury Standard as they are almost identical...the only differences I can see are the headstock shape and a bit of detailing around the body that is present on the Westbury but not on the Vox. The Westbury also has a contoured back which I don't think the Vox has??

I can see the resemblance to the CS series Barry, but I think these (Vox) were made around '81-'84 with the Westbury being made '79-'82ish, so both kinda pre-date (just about) the CS '81-'83.
But having said all that the history is a little vague so I'm just guessing really.

You're right, much closer. I'm not too familiar with the Westburys so it didn't pop to mind. Almost never see 'em around here...a few on the Evil Bay but that's about it. Kinda doubt I'm gonna find one of these either

Close to a Westbury but a 24 3/4 scale
