A true beauty from our friends at Aria Pro
Well this is one awesome example of Japanese craftsmanship in my opinion. This is my Aria Pro II Masterpiece PE 1000/1500 model and is all 100% original from I believe 1977(from what I know of the Aria serial numbers). This one is almost perfect with the exception of some sligh playwear( has some light buckle worm in the finish on back). It is so nice I am almost afraid to play it sometimes but I still do. I am considering selling this one to fund more egas aquisitions I am searching for so if anyone is interested please pm me. I did not list this in the for sale section as it is not a Westone and I am still only considering the sale. Thanks and enjoy the beauty of this one. Arthur

It's a beauty. Love those wooded knobs.
But what is that funny screw sticking out of the bridge for?

intonation
it forces the bridge plate back from the mounting post in order to allow for proper intonation. it is most common on wraparound bridges or combo bridge/tailpiece hardware, because typically the saddles are not adjustable, or don't have much adjustment range.
here's a nice wraparound bridge from stewmac that shows the adjustment screws for the mounting post;

I'd replace that long screw with a short one, looks bad.
But that is one GORGEOUS geetar!!! Arthur, didn't you recently acquire this beauty? I remember a post not too long ago with those pics.

Yes I love it also but it is in such pristine condition I am almost afraid to play it.....almost.. it plays like a dream and the sounds and tones are heavenly but alas I hate to keep one that does not get played. It has such great craftsmanship and tone it needs to be enjoyed and it will also allow me to continue my pursuit of other Westone and Electra models that are still evading me. She is a real beauty and even better in person. This model was the pinnacle ot the Aria line and it shows in every aspect. This one will give any guitar PRS or likewise a high bar to live up to in my opinion.

Well I know here she will find a good home. If I keep playing her like I did today it's gonna be tough to let her go. I almost want to get th efirst nick on her done so that I don't have to worry about it any further but she is to pretty to even think of that. She gets the royal treatment and care for certain and is the nicest guitar I have other than my NOS Outlaw model.

Pfffft.... you have far too many lovely guitars, now, Don; and if you let me take that 696/12 off your hands you'll have more time to lavish on the rest!!
