Matsumoku Epiphone Scroll
Acquired this today, along with a Concord I.
Fitted with Gibson pickups as standard, they're hot 16.2, 15.9 ohms. Sound quite good cranked up through my little Peavey Bravo 25 watt 1x12.
It's got a neck like a giraffe...............

Re: Matsumoku Epiphone Scroll
Interesting, 2 octave neck with easy reach (at the top) is unusual.

Re: Matsumoku Epiphone Scroll
I have been watching these things for a while. They are pretty similar to Westbury Standards, except for the extra frets, less pots and that wacky upper horn.
Any I have seen have been over priced, in my view, but if one came along at the right price, I would take.
So before you stick it on Ebay Damian, I am offering you a full and wholesome £125.

It is Tuesday evening, isn't it now?.....
Re: Matsumoku Epiphone Scroll
Yes, very similar to the Westburys indeed. I've been trying to acquire a Westbury for years now but the price was never right. They do have smaller bodies and long necks, like your scroll. That is an awesome guitar by the way, i love the carved top and of course the scroll kicks a**! Nice score.
The Epiphone Sheratons made at Matsumoku are incredible hollowbodies so i'm told, never played one.

Course I was drinking. That's what Tuesday night is for. I wouldn't have offered as much if was sober.
Only joking Damian, that is an absolutely beautiful acquisition. If it plays anything like the Westbury Standard it will be immense. The rarity of the Scroll unfortunately pushes it beyond what I would like to pay. But you never know, something might just crop up.

Re: Matsumoku Epiphone Scroll
Similar to a Westbury indeedy but better. This one has the Gibson pups.

Cheers, good health Graham but I'll have to decline your humble/feeble offer.....
This is a good demo of the clarity of the pickups, powerfull but well defined, very impressed.

Still have it?
I'm sorry for resurrecting this thread, but do you still have the scroll and are you interested in selling it?
