i just laid away a japan made epi emperor...........is there a Mat connection?

Checked Epi Japan wiki and I think the Japanese made for the domestic market are differently

There certainly has been an Epi connection with Matsumoku.
I have a Mat made FT-150 Bard but don't know anything about this one.
Have you tried asking at the Matsumoku forum ?

The underside of the bridge, what does it say? Wooden tom bridge could have been replaced as well.

I was wrong about the tailpiece only being an L-5 type since they did offer it with the one in your pic hence this Japanese catalog !

Looks like an amazing guitar to me.
Mats did make the Sheraton model but I'm not sure about this one.
She's a keeper in any case!

if i'm reading the charts right, it looks like an emperor (F). 1980-1984 MATSUMOKU! ..................well......i'm pretty jazzed, anyway:o :!: .
