Thru neck Memphis bass, MIJ....Mats or not??? Empty Thru neck Memphis bass, MIJ....Mats or not???

Wondering if anyone knows much about these. It is lighter wood in color with 3 darker wood center "stripes" and the same darker wood encompasses the body perimeter. A pair of stacked but offset pups and the machineheads are 2 to each side of the headstock as well. MIJ and serial # both stickered on back of headstock, not pressed or stenciled in.

Working on a picture but none right now.

I have read that it could be Mats, or Ibanez, or Yamaha online. Anyone know??

Stick up a picture or ten and me or someone else will probably be able to tell you.

Memphis was just an importer/distributor's brand name, & they would have sourced instruments from wherever the best deal was. Very few importers stuck with the one factory.

Posted these pics a Matsumoku.org as well after stumbling across another user's post asking about the brand. Anyone else have one of these thru neck models? (I already know of one REALLY, REALLY nice 6- string up around Quebec. )
