Where have all the whammy bars gone?
I never would have guessed that so many folks would lose track of their tremolo bars - until I started tracking Westone's. Not that I am a big whammy bar user - but I have guitars that I've owned for over twenty years - that I moved over a dozen times - and they still have their bars.
What a strange phenomena.

Re: Where have all the whammy bars gone?
Damned if I know where any of this stuff goes: not only trem bars are MIA, but knobs, string locks, switch selector tips, truss rod covers, control plate covers, and in the case of one of mine...a string intonation screw!
My theory about the frequently missing brass knobs on Thunders and Concords, was that very cold, marauding Brass 'Minkeys' were swiping them in an effort to restore their, um, Minkeyhood. I wonder if the little buggers are responsible for these missing items too.

Re: Where have all the whammy bars gone?
That is true, I don't know how many guitars I've seen for sale without the bar. Another question...where are all the left handed violinists??? When is the last time you have seen a left handed violinist (think really hard)? I have never seen one personally. Maybe all the left handed violinists sneak into our houses at night like the tooth fairy and steal all our tremolo arms. Just a theory.
Re: Where have all the whammy bars gone?
A sound theory, likely to win widespread acceptance.

I recently had the same problem with my Spectrum GT and I ended up buying a reasonably good replacement arm from: STEWART-MACDONALD. Unless someone corrects me, a 6mm thread should do you for this model too.
Post some pix when you have a minute. We luv to leer here!

Re: Where have all the whammy bars gone?
My black Spectrum ST indeed came without the whammy bar. I had one originally from an Aria ProII RS which i didn't use. The tremolo on the Aria isn't great, the rest of the guitar is however, it's a real Mat! It fitted the Spectrum perfectly. Tip: put some grease on the thread of the whammy bar so it will screw in easily.
Westones sales and classified
Hi I read when I was first looking at this site that i f I wanted to sell one of my Westones' that I should offer it to one of the guitar heads here. since they all have or like westones.. Now i am GUITARED and don't really think that I want to sell the Spectrum III LM/ED but I have yet to see any out there and so it might be a good thing to do.. is there a particular place here to do that sort of thing?, or do you do it in the Forum. I know that you all didn't take me to raise, but any and all help would be greatly appreciated. thanks again Eric heres my dog still having trouble with the pic's https://i.servimg.com/u/f66/14/86/64/98/aja-be10.jpg
