Spectrum SX (Ebay UK)
It's been ages since I put anything up on here so I thought this might be an interesting one to post.
Westone SX Spectrum Electric Guitar Ltd Ed *RARE* Japan - Price = £72 Starting Bid.
It's listed as an '85/86 model but there is no serial number shot. It looks really clean and well kept. Not sure about it being a limited edition but I don't remember seeing a Transparent Blue finished one for a long time.
The trem looks like it could be a Bendmaster DLX to me but looking through the catalogues it seems that this model was only available with the FT trem, any ideas?
(P.S. I don't know if it's just a typo but it mentions "Case and Tremolo not included". I'm guessing he means the trem arm, but you never know!! )

Re: Spectrum SX (Ebay UK)
Trans blue and trans red are the normal colors for the SX. There's usually at least one on US eBay whenever I check.

Re: Spectrum SX (Ebay UK)
Yeah, the seller talks about it being a limited edition for some reason? I only ever see the red ones over in the UK, but it does look great in the blue finish IMO.

They're pretty common over here, so the seller is either confused or wanting to drum up more interest I think.

Re: Spectrum SX (Ebay UK)
Sellers often say Westones are 'rare' or 'limited edition' to hype them up a bit. As far as I know the only ones that Matsumoku themselves referred to as limited editions were the anniversary models and the Pantera X390.
That does look like a Bendmaster Deluxe trem, but the string lock is from a Bendmaster FT so the trem may not be original. Most of the Spectrums did change from the FT to the Deluxe, I think in 86.

It looks like this finished on a winning bid of £109.
A good price for a change!
