Once you get used to all those slider switches it's a nifty guitar!
Like it a lot. Congrats.

Yes I think part of the attraction was the funky controls and the other part was the 24" scale (love my Concord 1)
If I dont take to it can move it along

Re: Covid Crazy - Needed a new toy Squier Jaguar
Our singer/lead guitarist in my first band came back after summer break, after year of playing a Strat, with the Fender Jag. He said it took him the whole summer to get the hang of it (he/we were 18 at that time), but he loved it and it sounded great thru the Bandmaster.
I'm thinking you might get to like it.

I picked up a Squier Bullet last year for giggles, and it also has a 24" scale. Strange how such a small difference between this and an LP creates so much initial fumbling.
I don't think I'd trust myself much to do anything too serious on it, but it is fun to pick up and noodle on! IIRC the Jag has very nice sounding pups.

I had a white Squier Vintage Modified version, I hated every aspect of it, the shorter scale giving too slinky strings which buzzed all over the board, even though the neck/frets/relief were spot on.
The bridge was just awful (as expected)
The body too big against the shorter neck.
Sounded flat, uninspiring.
Couldn't get rid fast enough
I hope your experience is a lot better than mine

The saddles and pickups are different on the Squier Classic Vibe Jag.
The VM version had the old type saddles and cheap Duncan Designed pickups.
Skinny gauge strings are a no no you need at least 11's. Shorter the scale = less tension= heavy gauge strings.
I own a Jaguar with the old type saddles and heavy gauge strings, no problems and great sounds...

Well a lot of positives except for Sgt. Vimes who hated his. Im not worried at all about the 24" scale length in fact its the main reason for getting it. I wanted to experiment with something short scale to see if my love affair with the Concord 1 is all about the scale length or something else.
Not sure what strings it comes with, I think I have 10s on the Concord and usually 9s on most others
It hopefully arrives tomorrow

Well She arrived
They are definitely a quirky beast but lots of fun and very versatile - Im loving it. Yes Barry you were right about the controls but once you separate the lead controls from the rhythm its a snack
Was really well set up when it arrived but after some play found the bridge pick up a little quiet so Ive raised it a couple of mm and now matches the neck pick up nicely. Havent tried to lower the action yet and maybe only 1mm left on this bridge but not sure I will need it anyway. Standard pick-ups sound really good
Factory info states these strings are 9-42s and at the moment no fret buzz or anything weird at all. First string change I will probably go for elixir 10-52s
Gotta say for a $600 Aus guitar Im very impressed with the Squiers quality, finish, setup and playability
