Unidetified model 8
A failrly well informed opinion here. We (think we) know there were 10 made. I suspect they were all slightly different, maybe different finishes, headstock shapes, pickup arrangement etc. I think they were made to show at music shows and trade fairs to see what features people liked and from that came the Prestige 117 and 227. Some details on version 2,the black one. I'm lucky enough to own this beast - I call it Clint, after Clint Eastwoods portrayals of the man withe no name. This is the guitar with no name. The Westone logo is the original script one so I would date it at 1982 ish. It has the same high end pickups as the Prestige 250, Rainbow !! and Session !!. There is also no obvious way to adjust the truss rod - you need to remove the neck or neck pickup to do it. To my mind that makes this a prototype and not a production model.

I like the headstock more than the 3-a-side one...
...in fact, I like this a lot!
The pickups are 75s?

It's nothing like a 117/227.
Apart from the body shape which also is the same as a Thunder.

Yes the pickups are 75s AKA Magnet A750 ans Super Twin II. I didn't say this was the precursor to the 117/227, I said I thought reactions to the 10 different models may have led to them.
