Gibson 498t/490r pickups on Prestige

Dear all,
Has anyone ever tried Gibson pickups, especially the 498t/490r combo on a Prestige?
My newly acquired Prestige 150 plays super nice but it needs more 'oomph' as I play mostly hard-rock and hi-gain amps.
Before I go the emg way and loose all benefits of the PEQ tone controls, I intend to try the aforementioned Gibson's.
Especially considering how easy it is to find them second-hand in chrome/silver finish.
Please share any thoughts you may have on the matter.

Yep have a 250 with Gibson pups.

Sounds fine a bit darker than stock pups.

'57 classic at the bridge and a PAF at the neck. All PEQ controls are removed.

Hang on to those MMK's, they're hard to come by.

True, I did not plan to sell them.
Actually MMK45 and 53 are pretty easy to grab on bargain bin Aria Pro II and Vantage, but that chrome cover with all 12 poles visible is exclusive to Westone, right?

Maybe, but yours should be 75's no? Those don't fall off the Westone wagon too often. Lock 'em up!

Yes those are 75' indeed I ll keep them preciously (actually they are already mounted on my Thunder II for a try).
