Swaps & Freebies Parts stripped from a Spectrum...

Post by Mr. Adaptiv Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:15 am

So, I stripped a Spectrum DX and rebuilt it, and now I've got some parts kicking around. Figured I'd offer them up to other Westone freaks, instead of letting them rot in my parts box.

So.....what I got:

- Bendmaster FT bridge. Silver, pre "floyd rose pats" stamp. Black block. No bar, but it's a standard import bar. Fantastic condition.
- "Magnaflux UBC humbucker" bridge. Measures somewhere around 8k. Corrosion on the screw poles.
- 2 Westone control knobs. Yeah, those weird looking black plastic guys.
- Original Westone branded case that fits a Spectrum DX. Used, but great condition (mostly lived in a closet). Still has key.

Anyways.....I never really look to "sell" stuff anymore, so trades or offers work. Not really looking for any Westone parts, other than another gutted Spectrum.
I like High output pickups, Kahler stuff, Floyd stuff, super thick guitar picks (like, if you have a Huffschmidt Anvil sitting around or something), long walks on the beach and fluffy pillows. Try yer bargin.
I'm located in Toronto, Canada.....but I can ship just about anywhere, and no, I'm not looking to "cash in" here (but I ain't gonna sell you the bridge for $20, either).

Cheers

M.

Pardon the condition of the room. I'm sorting through parts in anticipation of a move in April. Anyways.....one knob is mint, the other is a bit chewed up. Case has a couple of scuffs, but hasn't really seen any action. Bridge has a tiny bit of corrosion.
Only thing not pictured is the pickup, because I can't get at that toolbox right now.

It's nothing special outside of how it plays and sounds now. Added OFR bridge, Duncan JB, new electronics, and brass knobs/switch tip.
It's my current #1, definitely not for sale.

Spectrums are always special to me, friend! :-)

Did the FR go on with no problems?

I've got an SD JB in a Vantage Invader and - to my ears, at least! - it doesn't offer any more than the OEM pickup...

All that aside, great to see a Spectrum being loved and used!!
