Dumbest refinish of the year (so far)

The regulars here know that I love my Danelectros. Iconic, light, funky, jangly, and full of bluesy Mojo. They also have an unique range of colours (yes, and black *sigh*) which adds to the fun and collectability of this brand.

I have reissues of the '56 and a '59 models and I always keep an eye out for others like this '63.
When I saw the thumbnail of this guitar I didn't recognize the colour. But when I read the ad and saw the larger pix I couldn't believe what this dipstick owner did to this poor 'ole Dano.

He stripped the colour finish off to make it "natural"! "NATURAL?!" It's made of Masonite fer cripes sake! He removed not only the protection, but one of the things that makes these unique, the colour!

And, he expects to get the going price of $300 for it!
What a tool.

Been looking out for a  'Wild Thing' at the right price!

I messaged the seller and his reply was to "suck one". End of conversation.

Wild Thing's shape never appealed to me much. I've seen a few for sale locally and the asking price has been rather high.

He's now dropped the price to $250.

The ugly reality begins to set in. "Suck one" indeed.
