Rehousing pedal
I was looking för a pedal...Boss hyper fuzz.. then just for fun i got the Behringer clone and made my version of it
It enaded up with a clock work orange style! It is brutal in my opinion.

Re: Rehousing pedal

I have a behringer pedal I like (FD300 - Boss DF2 clone) but not convinced by the case at all
might be an option

Re: Rehousing pedal
Thanks! It was fun and not too hard. It depends on how much you like to replace. The on off is for sure needed but the rest can be kept if you like. If you like i han show in more detail how i did it? I like the sound of it, and i like to fix guitar stuff so it ess fun

Re: Rehousing pedal
if you enjoy electronic projects, you should try this -> book <-
many years ago i built nearly everything in the book
ultimately ended up putting 5 out of 12 i built into a single enclosure to use in live performance setting; preamp, compressor, tube fuzz, ring modulator, ultra fuzz
used them in combination with a couple commercial pedals; flanger, pitch shifter, digital delay

Re: Rehousing pedal
Wow! Talk about deja vu!
I bought the same book a thousand years ago as well. It's still on my book shelf.
Built a compressor and had a lot of fun. But the thing chewed up batteries like crazy so I never really used it in "battle". Great read.

Re: Rehousing pedal
Ooooh, nice!! I wonder if there's a schematic for a Slow Gear type of thing; I've always fancied one, eh, and it'd be about the Boss pedal I haven't used at some stage!!

Re: Rehousing pedal
to solve the battery problem, i also built the power supply project

it was all done when i was young and single and poor with lots of free time
when i got started playing, i couldn't afford many "real" effects pedals but i could afford a hand full of capacitors and resistors now and then...
re-purposed an old metal enclosure, and off to crazy-town i went

standard 1/4" jacks for signal chain flexibility and to interface with normal pedals and amps. true-bypass switches, i used 3 paddle switches (the compressor still has a broken handle) so i could tell on or off without any indicator lights. preamp was mostly always on, and the fuzz pedals were obvious.
i even etched out the circuit boards myself.
the case was a storage box for fire sprinkler head replacements. it was originally black. i took out the inside racks and painted it with copper colored paint. i really like the look of it now with several years of actual road wear, no fake relic job on this sucker.
and it still works!
