Super Headless
Hello all,
I've a Westone Superheadless for sale in the UK (Peterborough, Cambridgeshire). I've had the bass guitar for a decade, but gave up playing bass a few years back. I've purely been lazy not selling it, but need the cash now to buy a new piano.
There are some scuffs on it & also a custom switch on the body that replaced the original that broke - photos attached. I wanted to see if there was any interest before listing. Ultimately, not in perfect condition but pretty good.

This bass deserves a better home - it's not been touched for about 4 years! Reply if you're interested, thanks.
Best,
Casey

Re: Super Headless
Yes, pictures are helpful eh?
That's a beautiful model and since we don't have any pix on our web sites I'd like to add them to the Headless entry.
Best of luck with your sale.

I know! I tried uploading one when I originally posted and it didn't work, then just kept forgetting!Barry wrote:Yes, pictures are helpful eh?

Please by all means use the photos. I couldn't actually find a single photo of this model & colour online so would be good to be made available.
Cheers!

That's a beaut!
Thankfully (for me!) I have no spare money at the moment, otherwise I might be sorely tempted to do something silly...

Shame, as I've spotted you're only in Lincolnshire so would have been pretty easy sorting that out!punkyjam67 wrote:That's a beaut!

Re: Super Headless
That does look a great bass. But two too few strings for me I'm afraid!

Re: Super Headless
I was about to start selling you my six-string bass but I don't think that's what you were getting at..!Adey wrote:That does look a great bass. But two too few strings for me I'm afraid!
I used to take my super headless as a back-up when I gigged, but for 99% of all performances I was using my Ibanez SR406. The drummer used to HATE the superheadless with a passion - no taste, clearly!

Re: Super Headless
Headless instruments seem to evoke strong emotions. Technically they make sense, but aesthetically they seem to be incomplete.

Re: Super Headless
I've been playing a Steinberger for the last few months. For the first few weeks I'd often be 2 frets too high because I guess my peripheral vision was expecting a headstock and I'd be gauging my position relative to that.Barry wrote:Headless instruments seem to evoke strong emotions. Re: Super Headless
I'm forever banging the headstock on the cymbals of the drummer when I play bass, so a headless could be a good option for me. I'm used to a 5-string now though.

Re: Super Headless
I think you've nailed it Don, at least from the players perspective. I have a similar problem trying to get oriented on an SG. The neck seems unusually long and I keep getting lost. The Don wrote:...I've been playing a Steinberger for the last few months. A chronic problem in a band, especially when in a tight space. Even as a "front man" my head stocks bear a few cymbal scars too. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to turn around and say "hi" to the drummer!David_A wrote:I'm forever banging the headstock on the cymbals of the drummer when I play bass, so a headless could be a good option for me...
