Thunder II/III Bass Empty Thunder II/III Bass

Post by Pepper Wed Jul 29, 2009 5:53 am

Hey all,
Im currently playing a 84' Concord bass but im looking for something a bit more interesting with a better sound, such as a Thunder II or III but these seem to be hard to come across! Im not a fan of the plain finish, would prefer the black or red with stripes Smile
Any pointers? Its either this or a MIJ Jazz Bass! Embarassed

Cheers Very Happy

They occasionally come up, you just have to be patient. I just bought a Thunder II with the P/J pickup config (yet to be received) but it wasn't on eBay, it was on Preloved. The seller wanted £500 but he dropped down to £400. I found it through a Google search on "Westone Thunder II".

Basschat.co.uk forums has a section for basses on sale. It's worth registering an account and checking regularly or posting a "wanted" ad.

Nice bass, Pepper. I almost bought a red Jag myself. Great looking basses! What are your thought on it so far?

I'll have to try one out sometime. I hear the Jag has a really great neck, very much like a Jazz Bass? Anyway, congrats, no doubt it's a lovely bass.
