Thunder 1-A Bass pcb
Hi!
Was wondering if anyone had either the circuit itself or photos of the board (both sides) for
the thunder1-a bass ? Also a spare ferrule/bushing as one of mine has corroded and been minced with a pair of pliers
I have an original brass bridge to trade aswell!
Will post some picks after I get past the 10 posts!
Thanks! P

Re: Thunder 1-A Bass pcb
Hi there, Paul...
... sorry, I can't help; I've not even seen a Thunder bass!, Hopefully someone will happen along to help soonish but if not, I'm betting there are boost circuit PCBs available from electronics stores that would do the trick, and the ferrules: just replace all four with new ones off the interwebs as they cost pennies, eh!!

Hi again Paul. I answered you PM before I saw this post.
GFS sells a few electronic boost and mod circuits you might find interesting, and they're in the middle of a Memorial Day weekend sale right now. Mod Boards Active Preamps

Re: Thunder 1-A Bass pcb
Do you mean the tuner hexagon nut that holds the tuner?
I'll have one somewhere or a complete tuner.

Re: Thunder 1-A Bass pcb
Oh, I'm sorry; I thought you meant the string ferrules in the back of the body that the strings anchor in!?
The OEM tuners are probably Gotoh, and most styles are still available from Gotoh today, and in both standard and locking versions.

Re: Thunder 1-A Bass pcb
If you lose the auction don't worry, the seller has a few more units he'll list when he knows what they'll sell for, save that seller in your ebay.
These pcb's are the active gain version for the thunder 6 string, not sure what changes need to be made for bass....... Damian?

Re: Thunder 1-A Bass pcb
I'll have a look, give it a few days. If not the nut it'll have to be a complete tuner as I won't break up a good tuner.
What side is it? EA or DG
