If you were forced to (gasp) get rid of some of your guitars. Could you?
You have a water pistol to your head...
...and under threat of getting very, very moist, would you be able to sell all or some of your guitars?
I recently rotated the herd and was having a play today (the gods were smiling and the fingers were working!). In a mild euphoria as I switched guitars I asked myself if I could really bare to part with any of the collection, even if I was up against it.
Hey, I've enjoyed finding, restoring and playing them all, and I wouldn't have done that if I didn't like them in the first place. Each time I pick one up I am reminded what attracted me in the first place, and usually, I fall in love with the instrument all over again. Most especially the Westones/Matsumoku's, but there are other non-Mats guitars that I really love playing too.
My current collection totals 34 (20 Mats+Westone) and honestly, I do not know which of them I would single out for exile.
Are you in the same pickle? Or is a guitar just a disposable "thing"?

Yeah.. I think I could thin the herd out a lot with little trepidation - I play very little these days and apart from the occasional fiddle, they all - bar two - are in their cases, under a tarp, out in the shed.... and to my mind that's a travesty.
Trouble is, when you look at what you'd actually divest and what you'd keep, there are some which have a huge emotional tie - my tribute guitars and the Electra Lady are a case in point and my Vantage VA900 which I gigged for 25 years is like a part of me - but what the others? They all have a story and are valued - by me - beyond their intrinsic value as a musical instrument.
However, if push came to shove, I'm sure I could get shot of most of them without compunction...
Does this me me a horrible person? Discuss.

Boo! Hiss!
You're either a heartless beggar, or I'm a sentimental old sop.

Re: You have a water pistol to your head...
I've got rid of all but 11, that's 2 Westone guitars and one bass, and one of those gets zero play time.
I could get rid of all but 3 and one bass, but choosing wouldn't be easy.

Re: You have a water pistol to your head...
OK... before anyone thinks I'm a completely heartless b'stard... the choosing wouldn't be easy,
Genesis - 1st Westone ever
Pantera - bought in France
Spectrum LX - just a whole different animal to the other Spectrums I have
Spectrum ST - excellent platform for pickup swaps and trying new stuff
Spectrum MX - a red fretboard and bought in England
Spectrum GT - bought in the NE of England when I lived in NZ, and a avery good friend did all of the donkey work in getting to me!
Spectrum GTBass - my only bass these days
Electra Phoenix X195 - gift from a US friend
Electra XV-1 Lady - bought in the US and shipped to me - before I'd even seen it!! - by yet another US friend who has since died.
Westone Clipper 4112 - Super Telecaster, and first real repair job.
Westone Spectrum Series II - just a super little guitar to play
Westone Raider II - bought as a basket case and restored
Aria Pro II U-60 - bought in the UK as a basket case and restored; finished in Australia
Aria Pro II LC-440 - mega instrument to play, and cool!! Also a gift... this one wouldn't be sold anyway but be returned.
Vantage VA900 - might as well cut off my arm.
Vantage Invader II - bought on first meeting with Don, who became a super friend!
Vantage Avenger 315 - aslo bought from Don; lovely little player and tone generator.
Vantage Avenger AV 310 - "Corsair Avenger". 'nuff said.
Vantage Avenger AV 325 - "Bougainville Avenger"
Vantage Avenger AV 325 - "John's Rat"
Vantage VS 696-12 - bought from Don, and took a long, long time getting an electric 12!
Fender Stratocaster bitsa - custom finish.
So. Each of my guitars has a story and I'd be loathe to let any of them go... BUT... they are only things, and I'm trying to divest myself of too much stuff presently, and guitars are made to be played, not stored away somewhere, eh?!

Ah, but "play" doesn't have to mean "gig". You can have fun, and raise a lot of hell, at home, at a party, or in casual jam sessions.
As much as I miss the playing live scene, there's no way in hell I have the stamina any more to stand on my feet and sing and play for 3 full sets, much less haul/set up/tear down the gear.

Yeah, I know, Barry... but to have 20+ guitars just to noodle on occasionally is very self-indulgent, eh!
