Forum Outage August 21

If you had difficulty connecting to the forum yesterday you were not alone. Crying or Very sad

Apparently the Forumotion servers were down for 5 hours in an unexpected emergency of some sort (no details were given). This not only affected us but also every other Forum hosted by this company.

As mentioned before in previous posts, this forum is provided by and managed by Forumotion which offers free forums in exchange for advertising rights. This is very helpful to us but it does mean that we have no control over either the technical details or even our own content in the forum. Such is the trade off.

Fortunately for all concerned, Forumotion had everything backed up and was able to restore it all with only minor inconvenience.

Note that this in no way affects our web site which is entirely separate and is under our direct control. Cool
