1990s FCN 'Westone' guitars - what's the story?
Just came across this on eBay UK:
Westone for sale
It's not a design I'm familiar with, but after a search of the website, it looks like it's the 'Unknown model 6', attributed to FCN in 1997.
Now, it's obviously not a Mats product, but not a bad looking guitar IMHO, so I wondered what the story was behind them - what's the quality like, how do they play/sound, etc.?

Unknown to me as well, but it looks like a quality piece of kit with active pickups; for 70 quid I'd be having a go....

Interesting to me that you see the position markers along the edge on many of the early post-Mats MIK models, Vantage for example. I wonder why they felt it necessary to do that? It does make it easy to spot the country of origin though.

Trust in the force, Adey...
It's a nice-looking thing to be sure, but I'm being good until my new job starts (to pay!), so that's one hat out of the ring at least

Have one in trans black. Decent enough guitar.
Mahogany back with Ash top. Not veneer real lumber.
Without checking I recall only the humbucker is active.

They look very similar to the Villian. I guess that they were just revamping that design, but with 24 frets.
Hopefully the pick ups are better than the EMG Select ones that I gather most Villains came with.
