FT brass trem block
Seen plenty FT trems but never one with a brass trem block. Factory fitted.
Anyone else have this on their guitars?
This is off a DX '86

There is a plausable reason why it's brass. Have you worked it out yet? It's staring you in the face....

Re: FT brass trem block
Good call methinks Steve. Limited production and all that.
Damian, that's from the guitar in the FCN box on eBay yes?
You could shave in that reflection!

Re: FT brass trem block
There are quite a bit of why's imho..
Why are the saddle glides so short or none on the 4 middle strings of the plate?
Why is it not mounted straighter, it seems to be at an acute angle? (compared to what I've seen)
Does the trem arm mount the traditional way of the right handed BM FT?
Many hmmss...

Exactly it's that simple.DimensionIV-addict wrote:Lefty? There's gotta be more to it than that...
Probably cheaper to not make a mould to cast a few in comparison to r/hand pot metal blocks. Lucky for the left hookers.
Don't see many l/handers to compare it to.
Indeed that's the same one Barry, good nick eh.
Here's a shot with an FT, can't be bothered to get the FX out but basically the same bridge.

That's really cool. Lucky lefties.
I brass blocked my Dynasty's Gotoh floyd. Actually made a difference in tone. Pretty cool.
