Korean thunder Ia bass body woods

Hi guys.

i found a 89 thunder Ia bass to restore for 110€+- (including shipping). The owner says that the body is made of plywood. somebody has any report about the korean thunders where made of plywood?

I dont know if its a good project for that price (if its made of plywood is not an option offcourse ) it seems to have some electronic issues and the finish has to be removed and repainted.

Somebody has experiences with korean westies? how good they are? they worth the restoration work?

It's made on many pieces joined vertically with a veneer over the front and back.
Not as the Jap. ones which are solid timbers.

110 euros seems a lot for a Korean Westie that needs a complete restoration with electrical problems.

Wait for a decent one!
