WestoneGuitars.net Site was Under Attack

If you have been attempting to access information on our web site over the past few days you may have been experiencing some "weirdness" such as strange messages in your browser and missing images and links on the pages.

This was a defensive move on our part in order to stop what is called a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack. Yes, the buggers have been at it again. A week or so ago it was SPAMMERS penetrating this Forum, and this time it was an attempt to overwhelm our web server and crash the service by bombarding it with an overload of hits.

Fortunately, our best pal, Neil Smith, who maintains the hosting for the web site, was on it right away and "shut the door" on these A-holes! We may have been inconvenienced but our data has not suffered. As of this writing the site is back to normal.
