Dynasty Bass Pickup Problem;(
hi, i just got an Dynasty-Bass from `84. He is very "silent", my other (active)bass is extremely loud on my marshall-stack, but the Dynasty is so...cute? and there are disturbing ...noises, sorry about my english.... I took a look under the bridge, this cable is ok. If i touch the bridge its silent. Where is the volume of the bass? cant be so low?

Re: Dynasty Bass Pickup Problem;(
More than likely one dead coil in the pickup.
These pickups are prone to it.
Is it wired right?

One Red wire was disconnected from a coil, is it ok just to get it back under the tape of the coil?

Re: Dynasty Bass Pickup Problem;(
Has to be connected to the coil wire beginning or end of the winding.
If your lucky it's at the end of the winding.
If all else fails try this.

Re: Dynasty Bass Pickup Problem;(

Re: Dynasty Bass Pickup Problem;(
Ignore the Thoman site. The wires are different.
Didn't you take a note or photo when taking apart?
1 wire, the beginning of the first coil can be grounded.
They're in series.
You mentioned the pickup was working in the first place prior to taking apart.
