Re: Need help to date my Spectrum Series II
the late model Spectrum guitars were made in Korea. the serial number was on a paper sticker on the back of the headstock. most seem to have been removed by owners or just came off on their own over time.
is yours similar to this one?

Hi and thands for the answer. The Headstock is´ not reverse. And there are 3 switches for the PU´s (2x on/out for the SC and on SC/out/Humbucker. The Body also has a binding.

Re: Need help to date my Spectrum Series II
okay, more like this one maybe…
(not original knobs)
it might be a Corsair
that is the '88 catalog,
in '89 they made the same model with the bevel heel instead of the neckplate. and some other color options, as well.
in the catalog pics, the neck has 24 frets, and also a different tremolo
does your neck have 22 frets or 24?
does your guitar have the mid-shape tone circuit?

Re: Need help to date my Spectrum Series II
On the headstock is writen "Westone Spectrum Series II". The neck has 24 frets. The Humbucker has the same cover then the Single Coils. Mid-shape circuit? One of the toneknobs? I ´ll check. (this guitar is given to me from a friend of me).

SP6112 perhaps?

That's pretty, mate; nice one! The stringlock isn't OEM and you're missing the Allen key holder on the back of the headstock; no big deal!

Re: Need help to date my Spectrum Series II
That's right, Korean made, and made very well too!
I had a SP5112 which was battered and I regret selling it more than any other guitar, they're not particularly valuable or highly regarded but they do have a certain magic.
If youeever feel like moving it on, I'd be interested
