Hondo Professional II bass

Hi Guys
I've just picked up a Hondo Professional II bass but it is bits. All seems OK except that the pickups have metal plates set within each pickup and another wire attached to the plate. I assume that this is just a ground and serves the same function as the old Fender brass plate but can anyone confirm this. Alternatively, would anyone be able to send me a picture of the cavity showing the wiring connections.
Obviously I have no idea what she'll turn out like but first impressions are that the neck is really good and firm, body from Britain's Strongest Man but the hardware is maybe not so good. Slap on a Hipshot two point bridge and a new bone nut and I'm hoping for good things.
Just need a little help with the re-wiring.

That is a ground,. Just wire it as a Precision.
