Reproduction Knobs Empty Reproduction Knobs

Post by TVill25 Sat Feb 28, 2015 8:10 pm

Thanks for keeping me in mind when considering replacement knobs.

My work schedule as been horrific in the last 18 months.  Not an excuse, just the way it is.

I have completely run out of the first and second run of standard black knobs and all the colored version knobs have sold.

On a different note I will be having some down time(surgery recovery)  Nothing too serious.  But during my recovery I plan on making as many knobs as I can.

The surgery won't be happening for another 6-8 weeks.  So spread the word.

Thanks again guys for being patient.

Nice to hear from you, man; I hope the surgery is nothing too major, eh??!

Your knobs are very nice indeed, and I don't think anyone in here minds waiting for you to get your breath back, as it were!!

Bear in mind when you make your knobs, though, that traffic here has slowed right down and any capital invested may take a while to recoup....

The surgery won't be for another 6-8 weeks and is not life threatening at all.  Just no heavy lifting.  Recovery should be about 6-10 weeks.   So a the earliest knobs will be available Mid-June sometime.  So please be patient(while I'm a patient--haha).  So about June-ish time frame.  I will make as many as I can,  which should be several dozen.

As far as recoup of cost,  the cost isn't too bad since I already have everything else.

THanks for all the concern.
You guys are great!!!Very Happy

How did I not see this thread sooner?!  Don\'t Know Very sorry to hear the "S" word... I will pray for the speediest of recovery's.

Is the surgery for those pectoral implants so you can look buff like Arnold used to?

Put me down for 6 knobs, black.  My Dynasty needs to shake the metal dome knobs, and I'll need more the future.

Coincidence??  I just started pouring/casting today.  If I can pour them all today, I can start milling and drilling them tomorrow.  We'll see. Very Happy Laughing

There are a few serious blems that will stay with me.  Think about how many you need because the mold is toast.  There are not that many pristine ones.  Where the mold was falling apart was in between the ribs on the side of the knobs.  So some of this batch I made would pass an up close inspection some are about 1 foot(34.8cm) away they look great.  So if your extremely picky, I get it.  Let me know via PM and I can start getting cost+shipping.  I prefer Paypal.
