Westone Spectrum ST? Empty Westone Spectrum ST?

Post by epic576 Thu Jul 17, 2014 5:41 pm

Hey guys, short time lurker who's finally got something constructive to post.

I've seen what I think is a Spectrum ST in my local guitar shop (sorry no pics as of yet, didn't think ahead). The neck and headstock have both been stripped to bare wood, removing the logo on the headstock whilst the body has been repainted black. The neck plate is the same as on my Thunder 1A bass (cracking piece of kit). A few dings but nothing major, the little that there are are on the back.

This ST? is without trem arm but I'm sure I could pick up an original from one of you kind people.

Is this worth the £149 asking price?

If photos are required I'll be sure to take some the next time I drop in.

Cheers

I'd stick it on E bay at twice the price and take the best offer.

IMO £150 is a lot for an ST especially one that has been messed around with. I picked up a rough but perfectly playable one for a bit more than £50 last year and a decent Spectrum GT for under £100. There have been some really nice looking ST's on eBay for around that price with a hard case.

Getting an original tremolo arm is unlikely but replacements are cheap and easily available.
