Now, those of you with more guitars than I - which is most of you!! - may empathise with these pictures...
.... because I'm not playing much anymore, in fact, really only playing enough to test guitars that I'm working on, my kit; PAs., amps, guitars and cases for ancillary gear sit under cloths and tarps in the shed. I really should sell most of it on, but I cannot bring myself to sell musical gear...
... the little PA is out as a local club is borrowing it but it is normally under the tarp as well.....
*sigh*

The Don has Man Cave envy
That's not to say that I don't have quite a nice workshop but the climate here is incompatible with storing anything that doesn't respond well to damp and I also have a perfectly serviceable music room but nothing compared to teh acreage if corsair's Man Barn.

Re: This is how things look when you don't play much...
Yeah; I'm blessed in that respect - I have quite a nice wee set up with the most-used stuff permanently set up like the airbrush lines, Dremel and the small guitar tools all readily to hand.
George is making his first model airplane at the end my long bench and Lucy has an indoor target for her archery set up at 7m. She's only missed the backstops and hit the sides of the shed 3 times.... makes a hell of a bang, I can tell you!
I have my strat back on the bench, and am also pratting about with the SP1012 which needs re-stringing and is showing signs of corrosion on some of the screwheads etc.
I well remember working on guitars in Jersey; I had to work on the kitchen bench 'cause the shed was a.) far too small, and b.) far too bloody cold!!

Nice to have room to grow...... keeps the egas burning. I need more space but will settle for what I have to try and curb the egas a bit but that's not going to work me thinks....lol I just scored the elusive Electra Westone X160 model in Graphite with the active boost and it is my current project along with the Westone Monark.
Lets see if we can get his egas a going and fill up this shop... Very nice work area.

I still say you should gather the lads and form a cover band or something for fun. Play out every once in a while. You have the ideal rehearsal space for it, right?

Lets see it then!
Looking cool by the pool....
Which model?
Re: This is how things look when you don't play much...
85 or 85 X-99, with yet another orphan trem bridge....
There might be some body issues as well, should have it early next week.
Best I can do right now is this...

It happens, know the feeling.
Shifted many on.

Re: This is how things look when you don't play much...
Yeah... tried real hard to like it - it's beautifully put together and sits nicely - but it just wasn't happening...
I haven't had that happen since about 1978 with a Les Paul, which was supposed to be the ducks nuts, but left me completely unmoved!!
Nowt as queer as folk!

That's a shame John, looks a belting little guitar too.
Know the feeling all too recently, that Squier Esprit....just doesnt do it despite the exceptional build quality and detail

Mate, I just sent it off to Don; he likes these things more than I do!!
Here's what's been occupying my time lately...
So... nearly done; just the logo on the lid and some decorative tape to hide the join in the lid lip.
Now onto the Avenger to be re-finished and fettled...
