Boss V wah problem Empty Boss V wah problem

Help ! My Boss V Wah PW10 has suddenly decided to make squawking sounds and the odd high pitch squeals. No wah at all. An electronics friend has diagnosed a main chip failure and wont touch it because the whole of the board is integrated. I guess this is the problem with modern electronics .... nothing is a simple replacement. And it's out of guarantee sadly !

I can remove the board , no problem and disconnect the power wires. What I need is a need is a new or working second hand board. I phoned Roland who distribute Boss equipment only be told that the board is nearly as expensive as a new V wah!!!!!

Does anybody have or know somebody who may have a replacement board? America, can you help?

All the best, Steve

I didn't know Boss was a Matsumoku brand?! Laughing Laughing Sorry, mate - can't help there as I haven't used a wah since 1985! Smile And even that was a scabby old Crybaby...actually all my FX at the moment are Boss; I've gotten rid of all but 12 of my pedals; signal chain is Guitar >tuner
> PSM5 > CS3 > OD1 > HM2 > EQ7 > DD3 > PSM5 > CE2 > BF2 > PS5 > Ph-1r > NF1 > AMP
pedal board 1 }{ pedal board 2

and all of these pedals bar the PS5 and the compressor are old MIJ ones which I bought as a young fella; no newies here!!

Hi Steve, Smile

John is right there to ask you that question. I have moved it here for that very same reason! Please be careful about where and what you post!
