It's a freebie listing and can be a hit and miss thing.
If the lister has more than a couple of brain cells and is seriously wanting to sell their item they generally respond in a decent time. But I have had other emails go completely unanswered. Who knows why.

Perhaps they're novice computer users and don't quite understand that buying and selling is an interactive process (duh), or they've already sold the item and don't have enough sense or manners to let anyone else know!

I mostly had good luck. Hope you do too!

Most craigslist users will completely ignore you if you are not asking to come see it or pick it up in person, as they have no protection from scammers like eBay has. I only look at local craigslist ads for this reason. It sucks, but CL can't do anything about it.

thanks people..

well the price is low so that could indicate mental frailty or a really dodgy guitar .... Suspect

ah well, we'll see I guess..

Bummer.
You never know with some of these guys. I responded to my Parker PM20 Hornet listing by calling the cell phone number as requested in the ad.

I left 3 messages, never got a call back. Two weeks later the listing was still up!
I called again, same thing. Finally, out of frustration I emailed the guy.

Long story short, he called me within the half hour! Turns out it was a young teenager selling the guitar, and he didn't know how to pick up messages on his new fangled cell phone! More money than brains in this instance. (sigh)

In the end I got a fantastic limited edition guitar with HSC, barely used, at nearly half the list price.
So try all avenues of contact!

Cheers Barry

If the vendor ever gets back in touch maybe I'll suggest a local pick-up.. how many days drive from Ontario to Vancouver ?.... Wink

Then I'll have my stepson collect when he visits his pal in London Ontaria, which he does once a year or so. In fact I've heard Vancouver is very nice. Maybe I should visit, myself...

..... I'll be surprised if I get a reponse.......
