Re: Rainbow UK
All donations gladly received....
Got to change the cam belt and balance belt on my Alfa and all the tesioners, pulleys ect., water pump while I'm at it. These parts cost a bomb. Let alone the speicial tools needed. Could be worse if it snapped.
Hopefully the Westie Rainbow will finance it....

You lucky blokes with all those beauties over there in the old country....... you may as well be on Mars as far as keeping those lovelies "in the family", if you take my meaning.

... because they were rusting as soon as they left the factory? I'm trying to choose a car to possibly take back to Australia and it's the Alfa Brera Spyder or a TVR Griffith 500...

Re: Rainbow UK
Only managed to see the first half grogg....close eh..
Will catch the highlights.
Nice choice corsair, do cars still cost nearly twice as much over in Australasia still ?
Used to ship loads over there in the 80's. Jags and alike. They used to take the engines out and replace them with Holden V8's, more reliable apparently.

It's just nuts, mate... to replace Lucy's little Pug 206 Cabriolet over there would be around A$9000, for a vehicle that cost £1000 here. Anything foreign is looked at askance; you're either a Holden man or a Ford man... Mind you, even the shipping of the car to Oz is gonna be prohibitive; not the actual shipping, per se; landing the damn thing and doing the Customs dance...

Yeah, I remember! I also remember Tom Walkinshaw with his XJS's cleaning up the local derby!!

That sparked a memory... I learned about the loads of car shipments into OZ from a very reliable history source... Only Fools and Horses (the Brits will know the show)! Seriously, Boycey was trying to get Del to sell cars to OZ with him, some crazy scheme like they were always up to. Pretty funny.
