Prestige 250 for sale, Sheffield UK

Hi All,

I am raising funds for a new purchase and for some reason have decided to put my beloved P250 up for sale - you all know the specs but here it is:

Westone Prestige 250 Electric Guitar

Production - Made in Japan by Matsumoku, 1982 to 1984 (?)

Description:
Mahogany body capped with Tiger Flame Maple (Including headstock)

Specs
neck: 3-ply mahogany set (Heelless)
fingerboard: ebony
body, neck and headstock are all bound
twin humbuckers
independent volume, and Westone’s own, and as far as we know unique, PEQ tone controls:
Wind it down from the center dent and it’s a normal tone control giving apparent bass boost by filtering out the treble
Wind it up from center gives a sound like variable coil tap

I have had this guitar for approx 20 years. It looks and sounds amazing! The pickups are original and the electrics too. Everything works fine. The neck was fixed about 10 years ago and re-finished in black - you can see from the pics it's a 100% solid fix and really not noticeable.

This also comes with the original case, although it has seen better days. It's fine for carrying the guitar but pretty battered.

I have a few guitars and although I do love this one I want to raise funds for a new purchase. I am also selling an Aria Pro II NK700, which is also a stunner. The idea is I will sell one and keep the other. Once the first one sells I will remove the second.

No its fixed now. The damage happened about 10 years ago and was fixed beautifully by a luthier.

The Guitar fell over and the neck joint snapped at the heel :-(. It was reset and refinished to conceal the new join. A very good fix and the action and playability was not affected thankfully.

That's a lot of money your asking for it in a repaired condition.

A mint one might fetch that figure.

Do like the finish but a little too much dosh in that condition.
